I'd find people who have an idea for a dream project, something that would really light them up but that idea lies dormant, perhaps due to lack of finances. These inspired projects would make a difference to the world, so I could give funds to these dreammakers to see their projects brought to life, step-by-step. I too would be lit up, by the inspirations, connections and collaborations, being able to witness the creations evolving into existence. I would feel thrilled by the consistent variety, change and progress, especially while doing good.

I then went back to my life.

A few days later, an insight struck!

Lack of money doesn't need to be the reason these ideas don't get created! I was training as a life coach. I knew the value and power of accountability and I could see that if our desires are not clear, lack of money is our best excuse. How can we know whether our project can be achieved if we've not even defined what is actually, truly, wanted? With only a vague concept in mind, without realising that we need to really get clear, we put it off and put if off some more. It stays 'foggy' and, as a result, stays in our heads! So not having enough money can be a huge lie that's prevents us taking our first step, without us even realising (!) and, if we don't have this insight, might be for our entire lives.

Lack of time is perhaps our second favourite excuse...

So what is it that you really want to create? Something that creates joy, satisfaction, accomplishment, creativity, fun...? And can it be found in the unfolding, the relationship building, the synchronicities that happen on the path towards the desire and continue even once the outcome is here and beyond (ie. it's life itself moment-to-moment)?

So what do we need, to be able to create what we want? Firstly, perhaps, good company. We humans are up against our own unhelpful internal chatter. So it's helpful to have access to an external interruption to our modus operandi, that is our routine thinking (besides that it's more fun). In dedicated constructive conversation, we create the perfect opportunity for this interruption, to activate our inner expert, so that we get crystal clear. Secondly, and organically, we align with the small step action towards what the desired outcome is. We have access to the capabilities we need that are available to us now, gently, one by one ... such as clarity, courage, consistency and confidence!
